Postal worker beaten by women is allegedly looking for stimulus checks

A Michigan postal worker was maliciously attacked by two angry women as a spectator accused them of trying to steal junk checks in the post office van.

But the law enforcement branch of the US Postal Service says there is’ no indication ‘that the attack on Thursday at River Village Apartment in Flint’ is related to the so-called payments for economic impact.

The wild footage shows two women repeatedly hitting and punching an American postal worker while she is on the ground.

The female worker tries to fight back while her hair is pulled by force – while one of the women accuses the postman of hitting her first, the clip shows.

“You hit me first!” shouted the woman. “You hit me first!”

The bystander who was recording the footage, which went viral on social media, can then be heard claiming that the two women were in her submerged van after the postal worker’s stimulus examinations.

“Brother, everyone’s hitting the postman!” says the man. “They’re trying to get the stimulus … it’s serious!”

Another spectator is also heard saying “you are going to jail”, according to the chaotic clip.

One woman has meanwhile been arrested in the attack, Flint police told The Post on Friday. Detective Sgt. Tyrone Booth did not want to identify the suspect until she was arrested.

Booth also declined to say what motivated the alleged assault, including whether stimulus investigations had anything to do with the incident.

“We heard the same thing you saw in the video,” he said.

The unidentified women drove away in an SUV after the alleged assault.

“They hit this postwoman’s car and jumped,” said the man who filmed the attack when the clip ended.

In a statement to The Post on Friday, the U.S. Postal Inspectorate said the “safety and well-being” of all USPS employees was a top priority, while adding no evidence that the attack on the camera was in any way linked to stimulus controls.

“Postal inspectors are aware of the incident in which a postal service employee was involved,” the statement read. ‘There is no indication that this incident is related to the payment of the payments for economic impact. The investigation continues. ”

Flint police said in a statement Friday afternoon that they were cooperating with the federal agency in its investigation. Arrests for two suspects in the video will be handed over to the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office on Friday, police said.

The postal worker has meanwhile recovered, police said.

“She’s fine,” Booth said Friday.
