- A new leak indicates that we may see the Google Pixel 5a on June 11, 2021.
- This information comes from Jon Prosser, who is sometimes accurate.
- Prosser says he does not know which Pixel phone can start the day, but it is probably the 5a.
If you’m excited about the next Google Pixel phone, we’ve got some information to share. According to analyst Jon Prosser, a new Pixel phone could be launched on June 11, 2021.
Prosser claims he does not know which Pixel phone could start the day. However, if the date is accurate, it will definitely be the Google Pixel 5a. June, for example, is far too early for the launch of the Google Pixel 6 and we have no information to suggest that there will be another Pixel line in 2021.

Unfortunately, Prosser does not have an excellent record when it comes to leaked information like this. The only reason we mention it is because its date is so specific. As an example, in the same tweet in which he claims this new Pixel launch date, he also says that a new set of Pixel Buds could land ‘mid-April’. It’s not uncommon for Prosser to drop a date as specific as the date he suggests for the Google Pixel 5a.
The date of June 11 is still a bit suspicious. It’s a Friday, which is not a typical day for launches of this kind. Google is pleased to announce products earlier this week. The Pixel 4a was launched on August 3, 2020, which was a Monday. Every Pixel phone for it will be launched on a Tuesday. The only exception is the Pixel 5, which was launched on a Thursday alongside the Pixel 4a 5G. So you can see what a Friday launch looks like.
Regardless, we should start seeing more leaks regarding the Google Pixel 5a soon. We’ll see if this one expands.
