Portugal receives an intensive medical team from the German Ejército

Lisbon, 3 Feb (EFE) .- Portugal receives a military team of 26 paramedics sent by the Government of Germany to intensify attention in the intensive care units of hospitals, disrupted by the pandemic.

The contingent includes six medicines and sanitary ware with 50 respirators, 150 extraction bombs and 150 beds.

Although the experts point out that the contagious pike is extinct in the last few days and that a progressive phase of virus expansion is expected, it also underlines the need to increase the capacity of intensive care areas.

According to the President of the Intensive Care Specialists of the Medical College, José Artur Paiva, the number of intensive care units must pass from the 1,320 news to the 1,500 to avoid the collapse.
