Popeyes now offers free chicken sandwiches as McDonald’s

If you miss it, McDonald’s is finally jumping into the fast food sandwich wars next week. To celebrate the big debut, the fast-bow fast food chain on Thursday sold a limited edition with early access to the sandwich. Of course, you did not think Popeyes would pass up the event without a bit of shadow, did you?

The Louisiana-style fried chicken chain is, according to McDonald’s, by offering the same chicken sandwiches. Because McDonald’s requires fans to visit its website (chkndrop.com) to get the brands and early access, Popeyes is going a similar route – for anyone who just misspells the Mickey D’s URL. If you accidentally, or intentionally, go to ckndrop.com on February 18, you might as well pick up a Popeyes sandwich.

“The Popeyes team has taken note and found the 50 most likely ways to misspell the site for early access and acquire the domains,” a Popeyes representative said in a statement. ‘If someone who wants to search for McDonald’s new chicken sandwich misspells the URL, they may be redirected to Popeyes’ website, where they’ll get a code for a free Popeyes Chicken Sandwich if they’re one of the first 500. misspelled to one of the 50 URLs. ”

Yes, alas, the Popeyes agreement is limited to the first 500 people who go to the URL, so you need to work fast. With these types of gifts, you should always do so with the expectation that they may be sold out.

The McDonald’s website took place at 12 noon ET and will stay awake for a few hours, giving you the chance to pick sides. Or here’s a wild idea, do both. Maybe they even test next to each other. After all, this McD’s launch has been in the making for a long time.
