Start spreading the news
I’m leaving today
Do not want to be a part of it
New York, New York

Cuomo’s abuse
COVID is here to stay
Right through the heart of it
New York, New York

Do not want to wake up in a city
Walk through that crawl
I’ll be going over the hill soon
Leave this rubbish heap

DeBlasio blows
That crime is going up
Bad guys run every part of it
Like old New York

I will get out of there right away

Take my family anywhere
In my rear view
New York, New York

New York, New York
Do not want to wake up
In a city six meters deep
and think I might be a carjacker
Central park attacked
Taxes I fled for
They do not like police

Man, are they on point?
Bring back the Apple
I have to hit the busy Thruway
From New York

oh darling
If I can get out of there
Away from – the glamor of the average streets
You are all done
New York, New York, New York

“It was just ridiculous how it happened because we saw a serious deterioration over a period of five years and we have working relationships to work with our police department on their community policing,” said one local leader in Brooklyn. “Now look at what we’re dealing with. I’ve never seen anything like it in my whole life here in New York. ”
