Yes there is some persistent ambiguity in the wording of Microsoft, but many PlayStation fans are probably trapped in the first phase of sadness: denial. Phil Spencer and his cohort can probably still be a few clearer, but the writing is on the wall: once Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo are released, outside of running service games like Fallout 76 and The Elder Scrolls Online, a Bethesda game will not be released on a PlayStation platform again.
This is a disruptive and disappointing development that threatens the industry’s status quo. While there is nothing openly surprising going on – Bethesda was a publisher that regularly pumped out commercial customers – this means that the overall software keystone of PlayStation 5 is generally intended.
