Police say a Virginia man arrested at the DC checkpoint had high-capacity magazines

Police in Washington, DC, on Sunday arrested a 22-year-old man from Virginia near the Capitol site who, according to them, had three high-capacity magazines, a firearm and 37 rounds of unregistered ammunition.

The Metropolitan Police Department in Washington DC confirmed to The Hill that officers arrested Guy Berry of Gordonsville, Va., Around 2:35 a.m. Sunday, “with the said firearm clearly visible in a holster.” According to a police report, he was wearing a Glock 22, and officers found that he was not allowed to carry a gun in the capital of the country.
