Police pursuit of murder suspect in California ends after driver of a large craft obstructs the path of an escape car: report

A tractor driver in California said he stopped a suspected killer with his craft during a police chase in the southern region ‘to get him off the street’, he told a local FOX branch .

Ahmed Shabaan, he was in his big craft in the Pomona area on Tuesday night when he became aware of the police chase – and that it involved a murder suspect – and decided to help through the suspected killer’s bakkie as it passed traveled the road, he told FOX 11 Los Angeles.

“I was just thinking of getting him off the street,” Shabaan said. ‘If I did not have, and [officers] was behind him for so long and did not stop him … I have the power. ‘

Police are pursuing police after representatives of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department tried to confront the murder suspect earlier Tuesday night.

According to FOX 11, the suspect ran after one of the sheriff’s deputies before getting into his van and driving away. The chase allegedly lasted longer than two hours.

Sheriff’s department officials did not provide any additional information on the case in which the suspect was accused.

Police later arrested the suspect, after the bakkie collided with the tractor trailer, according to the report. Shabaan was not injured.

A passenger in the vehicle reportedly said she did not know the driver – who she said was a friend – was a murder suspect.
