Police Nab suspect in deadly NYC subway with knife

New York City police have reportedly arrested a man suspected of a deadly string of knife attacks on homeless people in the city’s subway. Two people were killed and two others were injured within hours during the brutal stabbing along the A train line over the weekend. According to the New York Post, the suspect – who has not yet been named – was smeared with his victims’ blood when he was arrested, and he was carrying the knife that was allegedly used in the killing.

The riots began Friday morning, when a 67-year-old man was knocked down on the platform at 181st St. Station by a man who allegedly shouted, “I’m going to kill you!” The man survived, but the events took a gloomy turn on Friday night when a man’s body was found in a pool of blood on a subway car at an A-line station in Queens. A few hours later, a woman who was repeatedly stabbed with a knife was found dead under a train seat. Another man was stabbed with a knife while sleeping in a stairwell at an A-line station, but he managed to get help at a nearby bank and is reportedly in a stable condition. Police have not yet released details of a possible motive, but said the victims are believed to be homeless. “We know one of the victims was asleep … Everything was unbiased,” NYPD Deputy Chief Brian McGee told a news conference Saturday.
