Police chase ends with a report of shots fired along I-25 in Colorado Springs on Monday

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – North I-25 was closed Monday night after a chase that began in or near Pueblo County.

The state patrol of Colorado assisted with the chase and was able to provide brief details about the incident that took place around 5:30 p.m. According to Trooper Josh Lewis and Colorado State Patrol, stoppers on the northern I-25 were used to eliminate the suspicious vehicle. the area of ​​Woodmen and I-25. The vehicle was allegedly used in a robbery. Shortly after the vehicle hit the stoppers, there were reports of shots.

Trooper Lewis said life-saving measures are being carried out on the driver of the suspect vehicle and at least one passenger has been arrested.

No law enforcers or civilians were injured.

Colorado Springs police are investigating the incident as an outside agency because it was an officer-involved shooting. It is not clear which department or agency was involved in the shooting.
