Pokémon may have marched Let’s Go Diamond & Pearl and the reaction is mixed at best

A recent tweet from the official Pokémon Twitter account alluded to a Let’s Go Diamond / Pearl remake, and the reaction from the fans was at its best …

Earlier today, Pokémon may have annoyed the existence of a Let’s go Diamond & Pearl remake and the reaction is mixed at best. Remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl has long been rumored and also popular among the fanbase. With Pokémon Day approaching in a few days, faith is under Pokémon fans were that if such remakes existed, it would be announced on the 25th anniversary of the franchise.

As Pokémon Day 2021 inches get closer and closer, rumors / leaks about a Pokémon Diamond / Pearl remake has been increasing more and more. Last month it was leaked that any Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes would be more like the Pokémon: Let’s Go! games and a recent tweet from the official Pokémon Twitter account indicated such a possibility. For the unconscious, reception to generation 7s Pokémon: Let’s go, Pikachu! and let’s go, Eevee! among fans was more mixed than critical reviews (to put it nicely).

With that said, the first reaction to the above Pokémon tweet is not so mixed. The short tweet reads: ‘Let’s go, Sinnoh! Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup are preparing for #PokemonDay – it’s only 4 days away!“This is the beginning of the tweet,”Let’s go, Sinnoh!“which worries some fans, as it reads like an unofficial confirmation of the leak last month. While the most beloved response to the tweet was voice support and excitement over a Pokémon let’s go style repetition, some others do not share the same sentiment.

Though the reception may seem divided (there were several other tweets not suitable for publication), some fans enjoy acknowledging the Pokémon Company (perhaps deliberately) sly word choice. After the addition of Pokemon Platinum, generation 4 had a fair amount of content that improved on two already beloved games. For fans of the original generation 4 games, there are leaks of all the content cut out Pokémon: Let’s go, Pikachu! and let’s go, Eevee! is more than enough to let them rest.

The Pokémon Company is no stranger to releasing new Pokémon games to commemorate his anniversary, with Pokémon Son / Maan is announced on Pokémon Day 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise. That’s all to say, a Pokémon Diamond / Pearl a remake to be announced later this week is highly anticipated, and while some fans are excited to see everyone but confirm, others are dependent on the possibility that they will be more comfortable, Let’s go style games. Pokémon Day 2021 is on February 27, so by the end of this week, players will be sure to know if their hopes have been dashed or fulfilled.
