Pokémon Go Charge Up Opportunity Guide: Temporary Research and Rewards

Pokémon Go‘s latest event is Charge Up, focusing on electrical-type samples.

The event takes place from 16-22 March. During the event you will find Pokémon like Mareep, Pikachu, en Joltik in the wild, as well as Pokémon like Shinx and Electricity hatch from eggs. Most importantly, the event adds some new electric-type Pokémon to the game: Tynamo, Electricity, en Electric wire. The Therian Forms of Thundurus also debuted in raids, and Mega Manectric was added to the list of available Mega Evolutions.

Players wishing to complete the Searching for Legends Special Research should take advantage of this opportunity as one part requires Thundurus and captures many electric Pokémon.

As with everyone Pokémon Go events, there is a set of field research that you can pick up at Poké Stops, as well as a time research that you can complete during the period.

• Use 7 berries to catch Pokémon (10 Poké Balls)
• Develop 3 Electric Pokémon (Electabuzz Encounter)
• Turn on Pokémon 10 times (3 Razz Berries)

Reward: Porygon Encounter, 1 Upgrade, 10 Ampharos Mega Energy

• Transfer 15 Pokémon (10 Poké Ball)
• Develop 5 Electric Pokémon (Jolteon Encounter)
• Turn on Pokémon 15 times (Manic encounter)
