Pokémon Go they seem to be getting ready for a subscription service of some kind. Earlier this week, Pokémon Go released a new update this week and computer amateurs teased intriguing interesting information from the game code. One of the bigger surprises is that Pokémon Go appears to be working in a subscription service of some kind. Details about the alleged subscription service are scarce, but the subscription will be purchased from Pokémon Goprogram and can be set to renew automatically.
As Pokémon Go getting ready to set up a subscription service of some kind, this should come as no surprise to some fans. The past year has Pokémon Go has significantly increased the number of “paid opportunities” that the players offer exclusive research and benefits in the game. In addition to last summer’s worldwide Pokémon Go Fest, Pokémon Go is hosting a Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Ticket Event in February. Players who purchased a ticket for Pokémon Go Tour: Kanto also get access to the special research for January and February for that month’s community day. Recently it Pokémon Go also tested a new type of ticket event that required players to purchase a ticket to a Galarian Mr. Mime available in December. This was the first event that required players to pay money to gain access to a specific Pokémon.
Some fans may be upset at the thought of an entry service, but other “free to play” games have used entry services to great effect. Fortnite, probably the largest game in the world, uses a Season Pass to offer players a variety of premium items and extra benefits to players. Many other games also use subscription services to boost their revenue and reward players for their loyalty. Keep in mind that most games’ subscription services are optional, and we do not expect this Pokémon Go to move away from its current “free to play” model.
Meantime, Pokémon Go players can currently participate in a Sinnoh Celebration event this week and next week in a Hoenn Celebration event, both of which feature raised spawns of certain Pokémon. Pokémon Go also hosts a community day with Machop this weekend.
