The Pokémon franchise is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and in celebration of the occasion, The Pokémon Company International is launching a series of musical events. Pop singer Katy Perry is the headline of P25, with as yet unnamed “emerging artists to award-winning global superstars”.
Little information was shared about the program apart from a short teaser video. The company will also hold activities for the anime, games and more.
Perry’s used to have a short, however unique presence in games. In 2012, she recorded a decorated version of her hit ‘Last Friday Night’ in Simlish for The Sims 3 and appears in the game with an expansion pack. It looks like she’s at least going to sing her own music Pokémon.
