The run-up to the state of affairs:

The news about this live stream comes not long after Sony confirmed that the PlayStation VR will get a second iteration, this time with a new controller and a single-cord connection design. The company also recently announced that the PlayStation-exclusive Days Gone will hit PC this spring. PlayStation said more titles could find their way to a PC in the near future. Unfortunately, not all of the PlayStation news in the run-up to the event was positive. The company is reportedly going to largely end the original game development in Japan Studio.

Sony said the livestream would turn on for about 30 minutes. He also said that ‘PlayStation hardware or business-focused update’ would not make an appearance; this State of Play live stream is focused on ‘amazing games that will appear in the coming months’. This means that we do not expect any long-term surprises. Since games are already being delayed this year, that could mean the release schedule looks a little less arid. It’s unclear exactly what is in store, but we hope to know more about games that will be released over the next few months. If you still want to get the status of the game, this is the best way to see it. The State of Play stream will be broadcast live today, February 25, at 14:00 PT / 17:00 ET on Twitch and YouTube.
