PlayStation is reportedly losing one of its biggest exclusive games this year. Last year was a big year for PS4 exclusive. For example, Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part II, en Persona 5 Royal all were released just last year. Final Fantasy VII Remake also released last year as a PS4 exclusive, and in 2021 it will apparently come to PS5 and it will apparently no longer be exclusive to PlayStation either, as it will apparently also come to a computer this year as well.
The report comes in the way of a Reset Era user and insider KatharsisT, who does not divulge much, but claims that Square Enix will announce that the game will be coming to PS5 sometime this year. And it makes sense. Of course it is. However, the rumor does not stop there. The PS5 version will be announced along with a PC version. This may come as a surprise to some, but rumors and leaks in the past have suggested not only that the award-winning RPG would come to a computer, but also Xbox consoles. It is said that the above insider does not currently mention Xbox.
Unfortunately, this is where the details end up, and it’s important to remember that everything that is announced here is of the unofficial variety, and should therefore be taken with a grain of salt. Although the source in question is trusted by many people, there have been instances that they were wrong, which to some extent is part of a leak and an insider.
As you may remember, a computer code was found in the files of the game’s demo last year, while one of the previews of the game contains footage of a computer game. There can be nothing to this, but combined and then combined again with this rumor is enough evidence to indicate that something is going on. Where there is smoke, there is usually fire.
At the time of publication, Square Enix is not commenting on this new Final Fantasy VII Remake rumors, and it’s unlikely to happen, but if it does, we’ll be sure to update the post accordingly.
