PlayStation fans think the next target PS5 stock may drop soon

Is the next PS5 reload at Target underway on January 19th? On Twitter, there is speculation that Target will release its new PS5 share next week, thanks to a new screenshot that seems to suggest just as much, but the screenshot in question has since been disputed. Unfortunately, Target did not comment on the matter, leaving PS5 customers completely in the dark.

Just like in 2020, the PS5 is now almost impossible to get. Whether that will change in the coming months, who knows, but it may now be the hardest to get the console. Not only is the competition still fierce, but retailers have depleted their inventory during the holiday season. Since Christmas, the stock was again extremely scarce. And when they go to Best Buy, GameStop and more, they’ll be sold out immediately.

As for Target, it was quiet in 2021, but that may change soon. About ‘Twitter’, ‘YtNextGenGaming’, a page that helped PlayStation fans access the elusive console, revealed that they had sent a screenshot indicating that the next PS5 drop on January 19, following Tuesday is, will take place.

If you have not yet seen the tweet, it contains an image with PS5 stock that will be ready for January 19, but in the replies, many have disputed the screenshot, and users claim that it is not for the console, but the PS5 media remote control. And at the moment, that seems to be the case.

Will the PS5 go on sale at Target next week? Can be. At the moment, however, the retailer has not announced any new stock, and the above tweet should be taken at least with a massive grain of salt.

When we spoke to a GameStop driver on Monday, we were told that they had not received any new stock in the store since Black Friday. Of course, the retailer sold online stock, but the point is that no one currently has much PS5 stock. In other words, even if Target drops new stock next week, it’s unlikely to be the cargo load many PlayStation customers hope for.
