COCOA STRAND, Fla. A plane landed in the sea next to Cocoa Beach on Saturday during the Cocoa Beach Air Show.
Authorities did not release information about the water landing that took place in front of a large crowd of beachgoers, reports WESH, an NBC affiliate.
A report on the Cocoa Beach Air Show Facebook page says the plane was acting in the air show when a mechanical problem forced the water landing. According to the message, according to WESH, the pilot is also OK.
‘The TBM Avenger who performed in the warbird parade had a mechanical problem and the pilot was able to bring the plane down near the shore. “Rescue personnel were immediately on the scene and the pilot is in order,” the Facebook report said.
