Owners of the Google Pixel 3a complains in several places about a software issue that changed the way the screen of the device looks in the corners. Google, like other phone makers, used software to make the square corners of the Pixel 3a look round. This gave the phone a better look. However, the illusion came to an end in December when a software update eliminated the software masking used to create the rounded corners. The result was an unflattering look that at least one Pixel 3a user called ‘cheap’.
Pixel 3a users left messages in the Pixel Phone Help Forum and on Reddit. For example, on the latter, a subscriber named ch4oswe4ver explained the issue from his point of view. He wrote, “I recently noticed a problem on my Pixel 3a where the normally perfect round screen angles are not nearly as round, and if I point the phone diagonally to the corner that is down and away from me, I can look under the ring and see almost the square corner of the actual panel, which breaks the illusion.As I understand, there is usually a software cover that virtually cuts out a curve in the corner and the curved ring helps to create the effect. I believe the cover on my phone is missing or faulty and no longer working. Does anyone know how to fix this other than a full factory setting? Multiple hard resets did not fix it. I noticed this after the recent update of the feature or maybe the December 5 security update, but I’m not sure if the culprit is or not. I’m on Android 11 build # RQ1A.201205.003. “

Googlehas not yet distributed a solution to the problem. Hopefully, the upcoming security update in March will provide a solution to the software masking bug that could return the Pixel 3a angles back to their rounded glory. Just three days ago, Pixel Forum subscriber Nikko Mercado confirmed that the issue still exists by posting the following message: “Google does not care. Should they? Maybe. But they do not show it. I doubt it. will ever be corrected. There has been talk quite a few times about different forums and Google support pages. Google engineers / moderators just reply with “try sending this report this way, try submitting your buh report here “while you act as if it is not known They treat it as if only 3 people on earth experience it. Puppy.”
If you look at the before and after photos, you may be wondering what is the biggest issue. But the different looks on the corners of the screen seem to upset Pixel 3a owners around the world. So if you’re interested in a cheap Pixel, the combination of the model’s display error, Google’s apparent indifference to it, and the end of Android support this year, let’s suggest you need the extra cash to buy the Pixel. 4a of Pixel 4a 5G.
