Angels right hand Shohei Ohtani will not make his previously scheduled start this Sunday due to a blow, per Fabian Ardaya from The Athletic. This is an issue that Ohtani has let down since the end of March, but the two-way standout was able to start his first of the year on April 4, and he was a regular in the Angels series at designated hitter. Manager Joe Maddon said Friday (via Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register) which Ohtani can throw with a Band-Aid, but he will have to do without it before returning to the English rotation. Ohtani threw 4 2/3 overs of three runs (one earnings) ball with seven shots, five runs and two shots allowed in his debut of the season. His production in the attack was tremendous as Ohtani appeared on Friday with a line of .280 / .333 / .600 (154 wRC +) with two home runs and a few stolen bases in 27 records. He struck a double with three runs in his second batsman against Toronto on Friday and then followed up with a solo shot in his next AB.
