Piers Morgan walks from ‘Good Morning Britain’ to tense discussion about royals

Piers Morgan, a co-presenter of ‘Good Morning Britain’, stormed off the series on Tuesday after a tense conversation with co-presenter Alex Beresford about Prince Harry and Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Morgan, who had been critical of the Sussexes, was confronted by Beresford who criticized him for apparently having a grudge against Meghan due to an earlier, unknown.

“I understand that you have a personal relationship with Meghan Markle and that she cut you off,” he said. “She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I do not think she did. But you keep her from beating it.”

Morgan walks away and says, “OK, I’m done with this. Sorry, no, can not do that.”

He eventually returned to the set and told Beresford that they should approach these topics ‘civilized’.

“If you start a fairly personally derogatory monologue on one of your colleagues, it’s probably not one of the best ways to do it,” he said.

Morgan told Martha MacCallum on Monday ‘The Story’ that it was ‘quite cowardly’ for the couple not to identify the person Harry told about the concern about Archie’s skin color – by far one of the most serious allegations from the interview .
