Piers Morgan shoots back at former CNN colleague Ana Navarro: you’re still a ‘treacherous little backstabber’

Piers Morgan has a fiery reaction to former CNN colleague Ana Navarro, who is delighted with his retirement from ‘Good Morning Britain’ after his criticism of Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

Morgan parted ways with GMB after storming off the morning show amid backlash he received over doubts about Markle’s claims against the royal family.

Last Tuesday, Navarro shared what she said was the ultimate silver lining from the interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“If there is no other change from the #OprahMeghanHarry interview that leads to @piersmorgan being fired from another post, it looks like a good result for the benefit of humanity,” Navarro wrote.

A week later, the outspoken Brit tears up the CNN expert with a fact-finding study and it appears to indicate the meat the two of them had when they were both working at the network.

“Hello Ana, I was not fired by ITV (I still work for them) just like I was not fired by CNN (I offered a new two-year deal – Jeff asks),” Morgan wrote with reference to CNN President Jeff Zucker.

He continued, “But great to see that you’re just as big a treacherous backslider now as I was when I worked for CNN.”

Representatives from Morgan did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

Morgan took over the era of CNN icon Larry King in 2011. ‘Piers Morgan Live’ ended later in 2014.

Last week, Morgan filed more than 40,000 complaints after saying he “believes no word” on Meghan’s allegations of racism and bullying from the Royal Family. This led to an investigation into Morgan by the ‘Ofcom’, or Office of Communications, in the UK under the ‘rules for damages and infringement’.

The British journalist stood by his criticism of Markle after he stormed the GMB series amid the setback he received for questioning her credibility.

“I said on Monday that I do not believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview,” he posted. “I had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still do not. If you did, OK. Freedom of speech is a hill I would love to die on. Thank you for all the love and hate. I ‘m down to spend more time with my opinions, ‘Morgan tweeted.
