Piers Morgan appears on Tucker Carlson Today Monday for his first interview since he was embroiled in a scandal following Meghan Markle’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which the Duchess of Sussex claims he was racism in the royal family and, among other things, revealed suicidal thoughts.
Morgan was incredible following the interview and mercilessly attacked Markle, who had lodged a complaint with the British regulators, and reached out to the head of ITV, for which the network was working at the time. But it was not just Markle who had a problem with what Morgan said about her. British regulators have received so many complaints about Morgan that he has received the most complaints in British television history. Morgan’s colleagues at Good morning Britain also disputed his attacks on Markle. When one colleague confronted him on the air about it, Morgan got up and stormed off the set. He later lost his job on the program.
“I do not believe Meghan Markle. “What I did not know and what was a fascinating thing to discover after I left was that Meghan Markle lodged a personal complaint with the ITV boss between Monday and Tuesday,” Morgan said, adding later: ” So I was attacked by Miss Markle, directly to my boss and by the government body, under attack to basically comply with her version of events, I had to believe her, and if I did not, I was a sensitive “racist and I had to be convicted and eventually, as it turns out later, lose my job. And I think that’s a pretty dangerous slope.”
Morgan remains adamant that Markle made many of the allegations she made in the interview. He made the fact that Winfrey at one point referred to what Markle said as ‘your truth’. Morgan believes that in itself is enough to question the legitimacy of what Markle said and even go so far as to compare her to former President Donald Trump.
“What does that mean? When did we get to your truth? It’s the kind of defense – the kind of thing our liberal Donald Trump would attack, to rediscover facts, to create his own truth,” Morgan said. Meghan Markle does it, cheering and liberating the same liberals who attacked Donald Trump, saying, “This is her truth, and it must be believed. And if you do not believe it, you are a racist.” Well, I’m sorry “I’m not a racist. I just do not believe her.”
