As the music world continues to discuss Phoebe Bridgers’ guitar mash Saturday Night Live this past weekend, the singer and songwriter revealed that the company that made the guitar gave his blessing.
In her debut performance on the show, Bridgers ended her performance of ‘I Know The End’ by hitting her Danelectro guitar against a monitor. The move has sparked online controversy, and some call it ‘disappointing“,”extraAnd a ‘unfair uncomfortable display of white privilege“.
Bridgers has now given some insight into the crash seen around the world and said that Danelectro was notified ahead of time that she was going to do it, and they even wished her luck.

Another musician, Kathleen Edwards, shared her grievances for the monitor on the receiving end of the beat, with Bridgers responding. and said the monitor is fake and made specifically so she can break it.
