Phoebe Bridgers on breaking her guitar on SNL

The singer-songwriter has performed ‘Kyoto’ and ‘I Know the End’ from her excellent 2020 album Criminal.

At the end of Bridgers’ performance for “I Know the End,” she broke her guitar on a loudspeaker in front of the stage. It was pretty cool.

To country singer-songwriter Jason Isbell weighed in on some of the negative comments about the guitar smashing (“It was like an $ 85 guitar she broke coming on guys”), Bridgers answer that she told the company that made the guitar about her plans to break it in advance.
