“I stand with all who have come forward.”
Earlier this week, actor Evan Rachel Wood, along with four women, came forward with allegations that fiancée Marilyn Manson was “horribly” abusing and “manipulating” her.

Earlier today, singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers emerged on Twitter to tell her own experience with Manson – specifically when she went to his house ‘with friends’ as a teenager.

Bridgers released her second album, Criminal, to critical acclaim last year; she is hosting four Grammys this year, including Best New Artist.
“I was a big fan,” she explained. “He referred to a room in his house as the ‘rape room’. I thought it was just his awful sense of humor. I stopped being a fan.”

In a follow-up tweet, Bridgers claimed that “The label knew, the management knew, the band knew,” and that “To distance themselves now, pretending to be shocked and terrified, is fucking pathetic.”
Since Wood and other defendants came forward, Mansa’s record label Loma Vista and its booking agent have both dropped him. An episode of the Starz program American Gods that he would appear was also drawn.

Mansa’s ex-wife Dita Von Teese issued a statement yesterday stating: “The details disclosed do not match my personal experience during our 7 years as a couple.” She also “encouraged those among you who have been abused to take steps to heal and give the power to fully realize yourself.”
