San Francisco resident and famed Hollywood actor Danny Glover will be in Alabama on Monday to support the union in Amazon’s Bessemer facility.
Glover is the guest of the New York City-based Retail, Wholesale and Retailers Union (RWDSU), which will be the unit that workers will join if the ongoing union vote passes.
In addition to his acting career, Glover is known nationwide as an activist who supports left-wing affairs. His mobilization to encourage Amazon employees in Alabama to vote ‘yes’ to union leadership should come as no surprise specifically; Glover is an ardent supporter of Democratic Socialist Senator Bernie (I-VT), who supported the effort.
