Peloton instructors design new Adidas clothing line

The 11-piece line, called the adidas x Peloton SS21 collection, costs between $ 30 and $ 85 and consists of tank, pants and hoodies. Peloton has other branded clothing at athletics companies, such as Nike and Lululemon, but this is the first design with the help of its instructors, who quickly became famous.

Instructor Cody Rigsby carries the new Adidas collection.
Adidas (ADD) and Peloton (PTON) said in a press release that they had worked together to ‘produce and adapt styles that are rooted in inclusivity and designed with high-performance technology for high-energy workouts, plus ease for relaxed recovery days.’ Instructors Ally Love, Robin Arzón and Cody Rigsby helped design the clothes.

Sizes range from XS to 2X and are in men’s, ladies’ and unisex styles. The collection will go on sale on March 25 on both of the company’s websites. On the same day, Peloton sends out a live class to promote the new collection on its app and equipment.

Peloton was booming during the pandemic, and sales of stationary bicycles and treadmills skyrocketed, causing a long backlog in orders. The company recently announced that it is spending $ 100 million to improve delivery times.
The new collection will go on sale on March 25th.

Clothing sales do not bring in as much money as its exercise equipment, but Peloton is increasingly focusing on it as it grows into a lifestyle brand. CEO John Foley recently said he builds the best quality clothing in the world and hired an Amazon CEO last year to help lead it.

Athletic clothing has been a hot trend over the past few years. Dick’s Sporting Goods (DKS) also announced this week a new men’s brand athleisure brand for men to take advantage of the popularity of athleisure clothing among buyers. Other retailers, such as Target (TGT) and Kohl’s (KSS), also launched their own lines.
