Paulina Porizkova looks back on the decline of her marriage.
The 55-year-old model married The Cars frontman Ric Ocasek in 1989 and they were in the midst of a divorce when he died in 2019.
Porizkova begins talking about their split during a conversation with UBS Global Wealth Management to encourage other women not to make “the same mistake” she made by being financially unprepared.
Asked if she’s sorry she did not sign a preliminary signature, the model said, “Uh, yes.”

Porizkova recalls that Ocasek thought a prediction was a ‘bad omen’, according to People magazine, and agreed not to sign one. They rather combined their funds.
After they split in 2018, the model still had access to the rocker’s money until he died in 2019, and she said she ‘could not go eat’.
