What comes next? WandaVision? Marvel Studios holds a lid on everything spoiled for the Disney + TV series about Wanda and Vision’s wedding sitcom happiness, but star Paul Bettany has a few things to bother about upcoming episodes … including a top-secret star he’l always wanted to work with ‘. But who can it be?
While chatting with the Lights Camera Barstool podcast (via The Playlist), Paul Bettany, who plays the inexplicably revived Vision in WandaVision, teased that ‘people’s minds are going to explode’ as soon as they see episode 4 of the series debuting this Friday. Bettany proceeded cautiously:
‘You can expect those two worlds [of the sitcom and the outside world] to … have more conflict. I do not want to give too much away about future episodes, but I will tell you this: there were more special effects requirements for our TV show than for Endgame. ”
At this point, we got to know most of the neighbors in Westview, the sitcom suburb where Wanda and Vision were based in their married life. But what about the mysterious outside world, where SWORD agents appear to monitor the sitcom, and beekeepers emerge from sewage? There are no characters from that side yet, though we may soon meet one, according to Bettany’s teasing about a top secret actor with whom he has some “intense” scenes:
‘There are so many things being leaked, but there’s this thing that was completely under scrutiny that happens and I work with this actor that I’ve always wanted to work with and we have fireworks together, the scenes are great and I think people are really going to to be excited. I’ve always wanted to work with this guy and the scenes are pretty intense. ”
It’s also possible that it’s a new character in Westview, but it’s too hard to say for sure. But who can it be? Time to put on our speculative glasses! Since it’s an actor Bettany has not worked with yet, it could not be anyone from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Many people speculate that it may be Nathan Fillion, who was in the cast as Wonder Man Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 before the part is cut. But he may be readmitted WandaVision, especially after several hints about the character were dropped, including a sign for ‘Wonder Mints’ in episode 2 credits, and Wonder Man artwork in a featurette.
Regardless, Bettany assures fans “will be massive surprised by the end of the program. I really think people go like ‘oh my god!’ and they are going to look at the MCU in a whole new light and also have a much deeper understanding in which direction it is moving. ‘
