Patriots to sign Jalen Mills

The Patriots just will not stop. After signing Jonnu Smith, Davon Godchaux, en Matt Judon New England adds another high profile.

The Pats record defensive rugby Jalen Mills, agent Drew Rosenhaus tells Adam Schefter of ESPN.com (Twitter link). It is interesting that Rosenhaus also represents Smith and Godchaux, so clearly that he and Bill Belichick have a good relationship. It’s a $ 24 million four – year deal, guaranteed $ 9 million. The Patriots have been the most active team so far, and it’s not even close.

New England entered a free agency with a lot of headroom, and they did not want to let it go to waste. Mills, who was selected in the Eagles’ seventh round in 2016, quickly established himself as an appetizer and was a big part of the team that beat the Patriots in Super Bowl LII when he started 15 games that year.

Known for his versatility, Mills has extensive experience in both cornerback and safety. Foot injuries limited him to just eight and nine games in 2018 and 2019, but he started 15 again in 2020. Last year, he finished with 74 tackles, 1.5 sacks, defended three passes and an interception.
