Patrick Mahomes is willing to show that the Kansas City Chiefs’ gamble was worth half a billion dollars.
Mahomes is back in the Super Bowl for the second consecutive season. He and the Chiefs knocked out the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV and the quarterback was rewarded with a ten-year, $ 450 million off-season contract that could earn him up to $ 503 million in incentives and roster bonuses.
Mahomes earns the most under quarter – with some big players behind him on the list in terms of average annual salary.

Ben Roethlisberger may not have that much time left in the league, but he signed a major contract extension with the Steelers in 2019, a two-year, $ 68 million deal. His average salary per year is 34 million. He recently expressed interest in restructuring his deal so the Steelers can avoid a $ 41 million cap push in 2021.
3). RUSSELL WILSON, SEAHAWKS

Russell Wilson signed a $ 140 million four-year contract extension in 2019. The Seahawks star’s deal is worth $ 35 million annually.

Deshaun Watson’s contract could ban the Texans from actually trading him. Watson signed a four-year extension of $ 156 million during the off-season. The average annual value is $ 39 million per year. But Watson has reportedly requested a deal, and if he gets one, he may have to restructure a deal with his new team.

Mahomes is, of course, the best dog in terms of average annual contract value. With his new deal, he earns $ 45 million annually. Kansas City signed the deal in the off-season in hopes that the creativity of his contract would help the team maintain a salary-limiting space to sign some of the other key guys in the championship team again.
