The CEO of the conservative-friendly social app Parler said all of its sellers had left the company following recent bans from Google, Apple and Amazon.
“Every retailer, from texting services to email providers to our attorneys, dropped us all on the same day,” Parler CEO John Matze said in an interview with Fox News on Sunday.
Google banned Parler on Friday, Apple removed Parler on Saturday and Amazon informed Parler that it would be kicked off the company’s web hosting services on Sunday night. Every company has cited threats of violence posted on Parler as the reason for removing the app. Screenshots of the app shared by activist group Sleeping Giants showed users calling for violence against Mike Pence on January 19 and threatening to do further activities at the Capitol.
Matze said in a report on Saturday night that the service “will not be available on the internet for up to a week if we rebuild from scratch” and that “many people are competing for our business.”
But in Sunday’s interview, Matze said he’s having trouble finding a new entrepreneur to work with. “We’re going to try our best to get back online as soon as possible, but we’re having a lot of problems because every provider we talk to will not work with us. Because if Apple does not approve and Google does not, then they will not. “
