An employee of Papa John’s says he was canned after refusing to make pizza without running water in the building so he could be sanitized … and it now sounds like he’s quitting.
A TikTok user who goes to @mommarhodey posted a video she said was sent of her brother from a Papa John’s office in Colorado Springs, where he filmed his working conditions under freezing point movies. to use at all.
The man says he decided he did not want to bake pies in that kind of environment because he felt it was rough … You know, because he was unable to wash his hands. That’s why he left his shift early – but before he did, he wanted to set the record he was dealing with.
The employee shows a water heater in the corner of the room, and a small portable heater next to it which he says his manager set up in hopes of getting the thing going again … and leaving water in their restaurant go. He also tries to turn on taps all around him without any benefit.

His sister is the one who sounded the alarm on his behalf – she posted some follow-up videos explaining what happened next … and would you believe it, she claims her brother was fired over it. As you can imagine, she’s very angry … and calls it an “unlawful termination.”
She says she called the local public health department there, who allegedly said the Papa John’s in question were closed until they could get running water back. However, this does not match what sis here says she heard from the Papa John staff.
She claims they kept working, despite officials’ stop order. MommaRhodey says she warned the BBB and Papa John’s corporate office.
We reached out to the relevant place of Papa John … they did not comment. At this point, there is also no word from their corporate office.
