Lakers centre Marc Gasol was inactive Tuesday after being placed under the league’s health and safety protocols, Kyle Goon of the Orange County Register tweets. Gasol started all 35 games this season before Tuesday and posted a modest statistic of 4.8 PPG and 4.1 RPG. Gasol was signed in November for a two-year $ 5.25 million contract.

We have more of the Pacific section:

  • Clippers All-Star Kawhi Leonard ESPN relays Ohm Youngmisuk was a late scrapper in the team’s defeat to Boston on Tuesday due to back spasms. Leonard feels uncomfortable during warm-ups. He missed eight games this season for various reasons.
  • The Warriors guards brought back Jordan Poole and Nick Mannion according to the G-League bubble for depth in their last two games before the All-Star break span press release. Poole averaged 22.4 PPG in 11 games for the joining Santa Cruz and has also appeared in 15 NBA games this season. Mannion, a two-way player, scored 19.3 PPG for Santa Cruz in nine appearances.
  • Poole’s presence is one of the reasons why the Warriors are not interested in signing Jeremy Lin according to Kendra Andrews of NBC Sports Bay Area, currently as a backup guard. Lin performed well with Santa Cruz, but Golden State would have to make room for him on his list. The Warriors’ preference is for Brad Wanamaker to regain the form he showed with Boston last season, or to take over Poole’s role before adding Lin.
