Overwatch 2 leak surfaces online for BlizzCon 2021

A new Overwatch 2 leak appeared online before BlizzCon 2021, and the leak comes the way of a prominent and reliable Ear Watch leakage. Blizzard has already confirmed that the long-awaited sequel will be on BlizzCon 2021 and that it will have updates to share, but at the moment it has not given a glimpse of what fans can expect. Since the game will not be released this year, we can assume that we will not get a release date, but at this point it is probably the only safe assumption that its sequel and BlizzCon presence will make this year.

That said, right at hand, Ear Watch leakage Metro recently took to Twitter to do what Blizzard will not do: set expectations. And for this purpose, Metro warns Ear Watch fans to lower their expectations, noting that this will be more or less a progress report on the game, and nothing more.

According to Metro, new heroes will be unveiled, and it sounds like it will be the highlight. The leaker also notes that ‘free play’ is underway, ‘but it will probably not be announced at BlizzCon.

Metro also briefly touches on the first game, which he says is dead. And for this purpose, he says do not expect to see a new Ear Watch hero at any point.

Beyond Overwatch 2, Metro also teases that long-standing rumors Diablo 2 remaster will eventually be revealed as well.

Unfortunately, this is where the leak ends, and at the moment there is no indication that more details will be shared before the event. That said, if more details come up, we’ll probably update the story accordingly. Meanwhile, take everything here with a grain of salt. Although the source in question has proven reliable in the past, nothing here is official and is subject to change.
