Blizzard may have leaked two new characters Overwatch 2 on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. Earlier this month at BlizzCon, Blizzard disappointed Ear Watch fans with how little of Overwatch 2 it showed. The lack of character development reinforced this disappointment. However, while Blizzard did not come out and announce a new character, the footage they showed looks like two new characters joining the series’ list.
The first is that one fan does not need to have any introduction, and that is because she’s long ago added a rumor in the series Overwatch 2 was even announced. In the footage shown at BlizzCon, pieces of Junker Queen – her gloves and her ax – can be seen in the background, indicating that she is in the game in some capacity.

The other newly leaked character involves a bit more speculation and is a character some players are unfamiliar with. Also on Reddit, one user recently pointed out that one of the robot’s bad things looks suspicious on Soundquake, a hero in the game’s universe. The deal is hard to ignore, but it’s currently impossible to know if there’s anything, let alone another hint that Soundquake is going to come after the sequel as well.
As always, take everything here with a grain of salt. Although Junker Queen’s assets in the background apparently confirm her existence in the sequel, this is not official information. Meanwhile, it’s hard to know what to make of the Soundquake observation above, let alone that it means they go to the game.
Overwatch 2 is currently being developed for the Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4 and Xbox One. At the time of publication, there was no word of a release date or the game coming to PS5 or Xbox Series X / S.
