BELLMAWR, New Jersey (WPVI) – An accident overnight led to traffic congestion on Route 42 in Bellmawr, New Jersey during Monday morning’s rush.
The accident occurred Sunday at about 11:45 p.m. in the northern lanes at I-295.
One of the vehicles involved hit his roof.
Police say one of the drivers was evicted.
The person was rushed to Cooper University Hospital with critical injuries.
The section of the highway was shut down for the investigation when rush hour traffic began to build up.
Drivers were able to leave and quickly return to the highway. Even that short detour led to a major traffic jam.
The latter has since reopened.
There was no word on the cause of this accident or the identity of those involved.
