Are you looking forward to the Outdoors demo more? If so, Square Enix has information they posted on the official Reddit and Steam Forums to help players submit bug reports and understand what the team can and cannot do with it.
The support announcements provide a wealth of information and links, so players actually have a one-stop shop for everyone Outdoors needs. Some of the links lead players to Square Enix support, while other gamers to the Outdoor status page, to see if servers are even online for core gameplay or multiplayer.
There are also links dedicated to an Xbox One patch released early next week, aimed at improving stability in multiplayer and addressing several bugs. The team is also up front about what players can expect to change between the demo version they are currently playing, and what could possibly change at the April 1 launchst:
We WILL be able to:
- Address any bugs that are reported and that we may propagate in the end. We strive to be able to patch the demo to solve important problems, but it needs to be carefully balanced to ensure that our full game launch stays afloat.
- Balance the game using player feedback and our own telemetry. Examples of this could, of course, include unbalanced equipment or skills, or the extent of the degree of difficulty within individual world levels.
We WILL NOT be able to:
- Implement new features or change features entirely based on feedback coming from the demo.
– Toby Palm, Senior Community Manager, Square Enix – Outriders
The demo version of Outdoors will be available from February 25, but will continue even after the game launches on April 1st.
