Outriders Looks Like Xbox Game Pass • Eurogamer.net

“Am I the deviation in this situation?”

Xbox teases Outriders possibly coming to its Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

The official social media channels for Xbox Game Pass have never been afraid to drop awkward tips and annoyances on their feeds, and the latest seems to be that Square Enix’s upcoming cooperative RPG may be available to play as part of its subscription game library.

Although the teasing definitively confirms the news, it does stop a screenshot of an email from ‘Melissa McGamepass’ asking if ‘someone else noticed a mysterious signal that has been appearing in the distance lately’.

The fictional McGamepass follows the revelation with ‘am I the anomaly in this situation?’, Which further encourages fans’ speculation that both statements refer to People Can Fly’s upcoming third-person shooter (thanks, Reddit).

Even if it is later confirmed that the teasing is true, there is no indication of when the game will be available for Xbox Game Pass players, but the fact that it will be teased now in the run-up to the introduction of intimations, it may be sooner rather than later.

People Can Fly recently had to step in again to change the Outriders demo in response to complaints about a previous change designed to tackle heavy farming. The developer has released an update on the server side to enable the Gaussian chest to drop legendary again after shelling out legendary items previously.

“After listening to very reasonable feedback from the community, we once again enabled the Gaussian chest to drop legendary, as we actually have to reward bosses,” the team tweeted at the time.

As West reported yesterday, someone has played the Outriders demo for 254 hours so far.

The demo, played by more than two million people, went live on February 25, meaning the player clocked 254 hours in just 15 days – averaging just under 17 hours a day.
