“The Human Voice”, the English cortometry directed by Pedro Almodóvar and protagonist of the British actress Tilda Swinton, was selected this Monday by the Academy of Hollywood as a semifinalist to compete for the Oscar for Best Short.

This is the second consecutive year in which an Almodóvar work will outperform this court in that the Academy selects ten candidates who compete to host the final nomination. The final nomination of nominees will be on March 15.
