The Chilean Directorate Maite Alberdi presented in “El agente topo” (2020) the moving story of a man who infiltrates a hogar of seniors to help a resident, whom he suspects may be being treated.

The fiction documentary, which airs on Netflix on February 19, is a semi-finalist for the double party: Compete by the Academy’s gala in the most extraneous movie and the most documentary. It is the first time that a Chilean comic has compiled in two categories.

Maite Alberdi’s fiction documentary is set in a former residence in Chile.
“In a year that has resulted in a challenge for us as an international visibility team without moving into our cases, it’s a big hit that a Chilean documentary has been positioned in Hollywood,” Alberdi said in a statement.
The film critic Eric Kohn describes the story in IndieWire as “the most convincing spy movie movie ever made”.

“La Llorona” recreates the abuses committed by the military against the indigenous people in the principles of the ’80s.
