PORTLAND, Ore. (KTVZ) – COVID-19 claimed another 10 lives in Oregon, including the 21st death from Jefferson County, which raised the state’s death toll to 1,613, the Oregon Health Authority reported Monday.
OHA also reported new confirmed and suspected cases of COVID-19 on Monday at 12:01 939, bringing the state’s total to 126,607.
Vaccinations in Oregon
On Monday, 7,585 new doses of COVID-19 vaccines were added to the state’s vaccination registry. Of this total, 5422 vaccine doses were administered on Sunday and 2,163 previous days, but were entered in the vaccine register on Sunday.
Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 104,595 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. All vaccinations have taken place in Oregon hospitals, long-term care facilities, emergency medical services agencies, emergency care facilities and local public health authorities.
The Charles health system reported 4493 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccinations as of early Monday morning.
To date, 270,800 doses of vaccine have been delivered to Oregon sites.

COVID-19 hospitalizations
The number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 in Oregon is 409, which is six more than Sunday. There are 84 COVID-19 patients in beds for intensive care units (ICU), which means no change from Sunday.
St Charles Health System reported 36 COVID-19 patients early Monday, with seven in the ICU, five of them on ventilators.
The total number of patients in hospital beds may vary between check-in times. The numbers do not reflect admissions per day, nor the duration of the hospital. Staff restrictions are not captured in this data and may further limit bed capacity.

Note: Oregon’s 1,200th and 1,237th COVID-19 deaths, on Dec. 15 and Dec. 16, respectively, are the same person. Oregon’s 1,186 and 1,311 deaths, reported on Dec. 15 and Dec. 6, respectively, are also the same person. The numbers have been adjusted accordingly.

Oregon’s 1,607th COVID-19 death is a 53-year-old man in Lane County who tested positive on Dec. 28 and died Jan. 8 at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center in Riverbend. He had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 1,608th COVID-19 death is a 91-year-old man in Multnomah County who tested positive on Dec. 13 and died in his home on Dec. 21. He had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 1,609th COVID 19 death is a 91-year-old woman in Multnomah County who tested positive on Dec. 3 and died in her home on Dec. 11. She had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 1,610th COVID-19 death is a 74-year-old woman in Multnomah County who tested positive on Dec. 18 and died Dec. 30 at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center. She had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 1,611th COVID-19 death is a 95-year-old woman in Multnomah County who tested positive on Jan. 1 and died Jan. 8 in Adventist Hospital. She had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 1,612th COVID-19 death is a 93-year-old woman in Multnomah County who tested positive on Dec. 15 and died Jan. 2 in her home. She had underlying conditions.
