Oregon reports 41 more COVID-19 deaths, 1,346 new cases

89 new cases in deschutes County, 19 in Crook County, 23 in Jefferson County

PORTLAND, Ore. (KTVZ) – There are 41 new deaths related to COVID-19 in Oregon, which increases the death toll from the state to 1,708, the Oregon health authority reported Wednesday.

OHA also reported 1,346 new confirmed and suspected cases of COVID-19 as of Wednesday at 12:01 p.m., bringing the state total to 129,109.

Note: A human error led to the loss of a small number of reports submitted by the online portal on Wednesday from 06:45 to 08:30.

OHA does not know what types of reports have been lost (laboratory reports, REALD reports or MIS-C reports). Based on the recent reporting volume, we estimate that these results were likely negative or pending laboratory results and that no more than 20 would be received during the time of the error. We would like to ask all parties who have recently submitted reports via the online portal to re-submit the results to anyone who submitted on January 13 from 06:45 to 08:30.

OHA will continue to review and evaluate the process.
