Multi-state server outage stops vaccination data updates
PORTLAND, Ore. (KTVZ) – There are 22 new deaths associated with COVID-19 in Oregon, increasing the death toll from the state to 2,346, the Oregon Health Authority reported Tuesday.
OHA also reported 267 new confirmed and suspected cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday at 12:01 p.m., bringing the state to 160,050.
please note: Due to a delay in laboratory reporting, OHA received a large amount of approximately 9,000 negative electronic laboratory results (ELRs) on March 15th. The tests are from 1 August 2020 to 10 March 2021. As a result, the daily ELR totals are higher than usual for 15 March and the positive percentage is lower than expected.
Vaccinations in Oregon
OHA is unable to provide updates for newly administered first and second doses or cumulative doses administered due to a server outage that has affected the ALERT Immunization Information System (IIS) in Oregon and four other jurisdictions. This multi-state disruption has affected the ability of suppliers to submit administered vaccine doses, and Oregon’s data totals could be affected in the coming days as suppliers catch up with data entry.
To date, 1,731,755 doses have been delivered to sites reported to ALERT IIS. Consult the daily media release from March 15 for the latest update of vaccination data.
These data are provisional and subject to change. OHA’s dashboards contain regularly updated vaccination data.
St Charles Health System reported 32,507 COVID-19 vaccinations given early Tuesday.
