PORTLAND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Two new deaths related to COVID-19 in Oregon increase the death toll from the state to 1,882, along with 435 cases – the lowest daily number in nearly three months, the Oregon Health Authority reported yesterday.
OHA reported on Monday at 00:01 435 new confirmed and suspected cases of COVID-19, bringing the state to 138,587. This is the lowest daily number of cases reported since 424 cases were reported on 28 October.
Vaccinations in Oregon
On Monday, OHA reported that 7,390 new doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been added to the state immunization registry. Of this total, 6,182 doses were administered on Sunday and 1,208 the previous days, but were entered in the vaccine registry on Sunday.
It can take a few days to complete the total daily totals, as suppliers have 72 hours to report doses and technical challenges have caused many suppliers to lag behind in their reporting. OHA has provided technical support to vaccination sites to improve the timeliness of their data entry into the state’s ALERT Immunization Information System (IIS).
Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 308,051 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. All vaccinations were administered by Oregon hospitals, long-term care facilities, emergency medical services (EMS), emergency care facilities, and local public health authorities (LPHAs).
To date, 492,450 doses of vaccine have been delivered to Oregon sites.
These data are provisional and subject to change. OHA’s dashboards contain regularly updated vaccination data and Oregon’s dashboard was updated Monday.
The St. Charles Health System reported that 12,502 COVID-19 vaccinations were given from early Monday, to a weekend mass vaccination clinic of educators and school staff at the fair in Redmond.
