Orange County Florida Launches ‘I Got My Shot’ COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign Supported by Disney World and Universal Orlando

Orange County, Florida, has launched its COVID-19 vaccination campaign “I Got My Shot”. Numerous “partners across the region” – including Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort – are helping to advance the campaign.

We need your help to protect our community against the COVID-19 virus and achieve herd immunity as quickly as possible.

The public safety campaign ‘I Got My Shot’ is designed to ward off entity myths, highlight reliable voices in the community and encourage residents to be vaccinated and become advocates. The campaign is a collaboration between the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, the Orange County Government and partners across the region.

As COVID-19 cases increase again in some parts of the country, it is important to achieve herd immunity. In Orange County, only 26.8% of all residents are vaccinated. At least 79% must be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity.

“I Got My Shot” encourages Orange County residents to be vaccinated by sharing it on social media. The campaign includes a Facebook profile photo frame and a #IGotMyShot hashtag that can be used on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The website “I Got My Shot” spreads vaccines and promotes the province’s vaccination cart, which brings shots to those who cannot go to vaccination clinics.
