Oppo’s flagship tackles the Galaxy S with three models each featuring four cameras

Oppo is not a household name in the US, but in Europe and other areas it is a common sight for buyers of budget and mid-range devices. The company’s Find flagship line (equivalent to the Galaxy S) will be updated within a few weeks, but a new leak could reveal all the information you’ll want on these emerging phones.

The Find X3 series will exist in three primary variants, just like last year: the Find X3 Pro flagship, X3 Neo-middle and X3 Lite budget options. The distinctive design element of the flagship is a soft slope on the rear box that rises to the camera module, instead of a sharp shelf or bump, although it does not appear in the cheaper models. Oppo previously announced an advanced color accuracy system for this range.

Win X3 Pro

The big daddy of the range (top, left) has a large 6.7-inch 1440p AMOLED screen with the option for 120Hz refresh, powered by a top-of-the-line Snapdragon 888 processor. All around, it uses four different camera modules: a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens and another 50-megapixel ultra-wide, a 13MP periscope zoom lens and a 5MP micro-lens for additional photo data. The phone can combine this for 5x hybrid and 20x digital zoom features, with a 32MP camera on the front to boot.

Other goodies include 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage, an on-screen fingerprint reader, wireless charging, 65 watt fast charging and an IP68 rating. The battery is a respected component of 4500 mAh, the better to help with the 5G radio.

Win X3 Neo

The Neo shrinks the screen slightly from the Pro to 6.5 inches and a 1080p resolution at 90Hz. It also has to come with a Snapdragon 865 processor – which processors are still pretty fantastic. It uses the same selfie camera, but the rear cameras are a bit shaky: it swaps one of the 50MP sensors for a 16MP ultra-wide, and lowers the microlens for a more common 2MP macro camera. It also reduces the intrusion resistance to IPx4 only. Oddly enough, it has the same size battery as the larger phone, but loses the wireless charging option.

Win X3 Lite

The Lite shaves the screen further to 6.44 inches, but sticks to the 90Hz option while opting for older Gorilla Glass 3 (the other has GG5). The processor is the middle range Snapdragon 765G, the same in Pixel 5 and 4a 5G. The rear cameras are rocked again: 65MP main, 8MP ultra-large and two 2MP sensors for macro and depth respectively. The X3 lite should suffice with IP52 resistance and a 4300mAh battery, but the biggest drop is in RAM and storage: up to 8GB and 128GB.

All three phones have Oppo’s ColorOS 11.2, based on Android 11., and will be available for purchase in Asia and Europe shortly after the announcement event, which is scheduled for March 11. There is no pricing information available for the phones, but last year’s models launched at around $ 1050, $ 835, $ 520 in local currencies for the Pro, Neo and Lite. As with most Oppo devices, there is no indication that they will come to the Americas.
