The OnePlus brand has grown significantly over the last few years, and in that time it has also built up a large and loyal fan base. The fans have been looking for a smartwatch made by the company, and with a new teaser, it definitely looks like the OnePlus Watch is coming this month.
Rumors of a OnePlus Watch have been circulating for months, with even a few direct mentions of the company in recent memory. In fact, a trusted tipster claimed that the watch should have returned in October 2020, but that it was delayed.
According to an official preview, it now looks like March 23 will be the long awaited day. The official Twitter account of OnePlus mailed a short video on Friday with comments from his community of users around the world and from dates to 2014, concluding the video with the teasing, “soon.”
Although the word “smartwatch” is never explicitly mentioned here, the background images make it clear that it’s a preview for the OnePlus Watch. The writing has been on the wall for a while now, and the release of the OnePlus Band earlier this year only allows users a proper smartwatch. Now it’s coming, because ‘you asked for it.’ And, you know, smartwatches are pretty popular.
Of course, March 23 will not only see the debut of the OnePlus Watch. The company also confirmed that its next smartphone series, the OnePlus 9 series, will be announced on that date.
