OnePlus Health App Appears on Google Play for Android

After years of being popular for its smartphones alone, OnePlus is entering the portable space with the OnePlus Band fitness tracker. Before the product’s debut, the app “OnePlus Health” appeared on Google Play.

This new app tells us a few things about what OnePlus has in store, but most importantly, it directly reveals the design of the company’s fitness tracker. In the app screenshots, the band’s design is clearly shown with the typical fitness track appearance and the OnePlus name below the screen.

Also in these screenshots we get an idea what the OnePlus Band is capable of. The OnePlus Health app provides support for step-by-step tracking, calories burned, heart rate tracking, sleep tracking and GPS-based motion tracking. The band is also said to support Sp02 detection and other health statistics.

Health data
Keep track of your health through your daily activities, heart rate, sleep data, etc. Record and visualize.

Workout record
Follow your routes and record steps, workouts, distance and calories burned. Create personal training reports to understand your progress.

Smart devices
Connect and operate various smart devices such as smart watches and straps. Customize and sync message notifications and incoming call information.

Like the people at Android Police pointing out, this information feels pretty familiar. The reason for this is because the app is essentially a copy-and-paste task from Oppo’s “HeyTap” health program that has been around for a while. This is not surprising, however, given how closely these two brands have merged, especially over the past few years.
